Linking different systems
In the future, energy will be generated here with Zonnepark Ballumerbocht, various forms of energy will be stored here (where necessary) or converted into another form of energy. This can be done through various techniques, including storage in a battery, but also by converting generated solar power into hydrogen via electrolysis. Hydrogen can be released when it is needed for, for example, heating or propulsion of ships or vehicles.
Fast charging station
When constructing the new solar park (expected mid-2024) that will be located in the Ballumerbocht, we take into account the connection of a (fast) charging station. We make a large “socket” to which we can connect various installations (behind the meter), such as a charging plaza, electrolyser and mobile battery for events, for example.
Smart use of energy
In this way, we want to use energy at the place and time of energy demand, creating a modular, intelligent and efficient system that makes us more independent of the energy supply from shore.
