After three years of preparation, the Green Hysland project is almost ready to start. Read more in their sixth newsletter.

The aim of the Green Hysland project is to produce and distribute at least 300 tonnes of green hydrogen from solar energy to various end-user applications on the island of Mallorca. The underlying idea is that green hydrogen can support European islands in their energy transition and accelerate their decarbonization. The experiences gained on Mallorca are interesting for many other islands. Ameland is also a project partner at Green Hysland and is also experimenting with hydrogen applications through pilot projects.
