Geothermal information evening Tuesday 12/12/23

Following the village discussions at the beginning of 2023, the Municipality of Ameland is organizing a new round of discussion evenings. On the first evening, which will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the technology of ‘Geothermal Energy’ will be central. In addition, the link is made to other possible alternatives and what else is needed to jointly arrive at a feasible and affordable choice for Ameland. There will of course be room for questions during the evening.

Background

The whole of the Netherlands is switching off natural gas. On Ameland we want to have made that switch by 2035. But how are we going to heat our homes if we no longer have natural gas? How do we ensure that sustainable energy reaches the buildings on Ameland, what does it mean ‘behind the front door’ and for the energy bill? And what does a second solar park or a Tidal Kite have to do with this? In a series of several information meetings, the municipality of Ameland and specialists will tell you more and we will be happy to discuss your questions or comments with you.
