Chairman of the European Commission mentions hydrogen project Green Hysland

At the opening of the Sustainable Energy Week 2021, prior to the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen mentioned, among other things, the Green Hysland project as an example of innovation in the field of green energy.

Green Hysland is about the development of hydrogen technology on the island of Mallorca and a number of ‘fellow islands’. Ameland has joined the program to closely monitor the knowledge being developed for Mallorca. There are also plans on Ameland for the production and use of hydrogen as a storage of sustainable energy.
